Ashlesha Bali Procedure – Step by Step
Registration & Token
Arrive early at the temple (before 6:30 AM recommended). Purchase the Ashlesha Bali ticket at the seva counter. You will receive a token number and be assigned a specific homa kunda (fire pit).
Sankalpa (Sacred Vow)
The priest will call your token number. Sit near the assigned homa kunda. The priest takes your name, gotra (lineage), and nakshatra to perform the sankalpa — a formal declaration of intent for the ritual.
Naga Prathishta & Pooja
A silver or metal Naga idol is consecrated and worshipped with turmeric, kumkum, flowers, and milk. The idol represents the serpent deity being propitiated during the ritual.
Homa (Fire Ritual)
